Located: at the northeast tip of Bahrain Island
General: The capital
Population: one third of the kingdom's population
History: AD1345, taken by Portuguese 1521 and by Persians (1602) Al- khalifa dynasty since 1783.
Language: Arabic, English widely spoken.
Climate: good all the year round.
2- THINGS TO SEE:
Places to visit: Museum, exhibition centre, luxurious 5-star hotels, restaurants, Gold City.
3- THINGS TO DO:
Souq: shopping at malls, spice stores.
Sports: clubs, sports hall, water sports.
Tourism: swimming, National Museum, Bait Al-qur'an, malls, cafes, clubs, cosmopolitan environment.
