Module eight, Writing, An Informal Letter
Module eight, Writing, An Informal Letter
Dear Thomas,
How are you? I hope you are very well. I would like to thank you for the period I spent with you in London. I always remember these days. All my friends know your name now because I tell them about you all the time and they like to meet you when you come to Bahrain. Anyway, I am writing to give you some advice about coming to Bahrain. First, you do not need to bring lots of heavy clothes; the weather here is quite warm in winter. You can bring a gown and a suit as presents for my parents, this will be quite suitable. As for me, I like reading novels. So, I will be grateful if you can bring me two or three of Charles Dickens’s novels. When you come, we will attend my cousin’s wedding party together. Be ready for that. You can bring formal clothes for this occasion. Finally, I hope you will enjoy your stay with me.
Well, I have to go now because I have an English exam tomorrow, and I have got to study for it. I am looking forward to your arrival.
Lots of best wishes,
Jassim
